Analytical Methodology

Last updated 2 November 2026

LevelPilot is chart analysis software. Every number it shows is calculated by fixed, rule-based formulas from price and volume data. The same rules run on every stock and every timeframe. There is no human picking stocks and no discretionary signal.

1. The LevelPilot level and zone

2. Bull % and Bear %

The strength score combines four standard technical readings, each scaled between −1 (bearish) and +1 (bullish):

The four readings are combined with fixed weights into one score, and shown as Bull % (50 + 50 × score) and Bear % (100 − Bull %). Above 60% is labelled "Bull pressure", below 40% "Bear pressure", and anything between "Balanced".

Bull/Bear % describes the current chart. It is not a probability of the price going up or down, and not a probability of profit.

3. Technical invalidation level

This is the edge of the zone on the far side: the bottom of the zone for support, the top of the zone for resistance. A candle closing beyond it means the chart's current reading of that level no longer holds. It is a description of the chart, not a stop-loss or an instruction to exit anything.

4. Six timeframes

The same calculations run separately on 1-minute, 5-minute, 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour and daily candles, so you can see where they agree and where they differ.

5. Data

Prices come from third-party sources and may be delayed by about 15 minutes. Every reading shows the time of the last candle it used. Calculations can differ slightly from other charting platforms because of data timing and rounding.

6. What the AI does

The AI does not calculate anything. It receives the numbers above and describes them in plain words. Every answer is checked for advice words and for numbers that do not match our data. See How AI is used.

LevelPilot does not give buy, sell or hold recommendations. Read our Terms of Use.
